The Sgaly cellars are located on a ridge straddling the Municipalities of Ortezzano and Monte Rinaldo at an average altitude of m. 300 s.l.m. with hilly position and prevailing southern exposure, on autochthonous calcareous clay soil, which represents the main center of production and in the Municipality of Ortezzano in the Valdaso area at an altitude of m. 150 s.l.m. with flat lying and medium-textured alluvial soil where in 2005, in addition to having planted 2 hectares of high density Polyclonal Chardonnay, a modern winery was built for processing its grapes. The wine Falerio Pecorino D.O.C
. expresses an excellence of one of its native vines. Today, this young 100% pecorino represents one third of the company's production. The name derives from the ancient city of Picena of Faleria, which later became an important Roman colony in 29 BC. with the name of Falerio Picenus, today Falerone and from the homonymous native vine Pecorino.
The nose is intense and elegant with marked fruity notes of apricot and peach with a floral and balsamic finish reminiscent of mint. In the mouth it is enveloping with an elegant and balanced acid finish. Best native wines
