In 1976 Domenico Clerico, at the request of his father, chose to take over the reins of the family farm, which at the time extended over an area of about five hectares, and produced grapes to be given to the nearby winery. However, given the small gains, Domenico, assisted by his wife Giuliana in the management of the estate, decided to start grafting his grapes to produce quality wines. With love and dedication he began to cure his vines, trying to interpret his every need at all times of the year. At the same time Domenico acquired new vineyards, well-positioned and characterized by optimum microclimatic characteristics. Today, the cellar of Domenico Clerico has 21 hectares of vineyard, located in some of the best sub-regions of Barolo di Monforte d'Alba and Serralunga d'Alba. By conducting their rows in a careful and careful manner, fine grapes are harvested, which are translated into labels of a thousand facets, olfactory seductive and gustily complex. This is how fatigue, sweat and stubbornness have given birth to what can now be considered a vital and dynamic viticulture reality, and can also be included among the most representative wineries in Monforte d'Alba.
